Abstract The main objective of the present study is to investigate the role of innovation orientation in building a competitive advantage in hotels. This aim will be achieved through the following objectives of the study:-Shedding the light on the concept of innovative orientation with all its different types (product innovation, process innovation, marketing innovation, organizational innovation, and technology innovation) - Identify the obstacles that face the hotels toward innovation orientated at the hotels.
