Abstract This is a prospective study carried out from Feb 2022 to August 2023 on 40 female patients diagnosed to have early breast cancer in different quadrants of the breast. The Patients‘ characteristics, Tumor characteristics, Operative data, cosmetic result, postoperative complications were all evaluated. The age of the patients varied from 38 and 60 years old. The mean age for this study was 47.35 years old and SD was 5.6730. Of all patients, 7 patients suffered from systemic diseases, 4 patients were diabetic and 3 hypertensive patients. The smallest tumor size was 1 cm, the largest one was 3.7 cm. The distance from the NAC was variable among the cases of the study; the nearest tumor was 2 cm from NAC, the farthest was 8.5 cm from NAC. Sites of tumor were variable 45% were in UOQ, 27.5% in UIQ, 15% in LIQ, 12,5% in LOQ Complications occurred in 5 cases (12.5%), in the form of: infection in one diabetic case, three cases had diminished nipple sensation, one case got partial necrosis of NAC, which was managed by conservative management, daily dressing and debridement. In terms of resection speeds, excellent cosmetic results and ability to excise tumors in all quadrants of the breast, MRBT provides a good option in early breast in all quadrants. |
