Abstract

The rate of CS has been rising globally for the past few years, but its long-term impact on women’s health has to be evaluated.
A previous CD significantly reduces the likelihood of a subsequent pregnancy, according to comprehensive studies on the reproductive state and pregnancy outcomes following a CD. However, the relationship between the mechanism of previous delivery and the following effects of ART/ICSI is still poorly understood. Several clinical studies investigated this relationship, but because most of these studies were retrospective and reached different conclusions, the current study analyzed this correlation prospectively.
One hundred forty female patients complaining of secondary infertility were included in the present study, divided into two groups; group A: women with a history of previous CD, and group B: women with a history of previous NVD. The primary outcome was the implantation rate. The secondary outcomes were clinical pregnancy rate, chemical pregnancy rate, and miscarriage rate.
