Abstract

1:-Introduction: - The sustainable development strategy in Egypt (Egypt Vision 2030) demonstrates the extent of the Egyptian state’s commitment to the sustainable development goals set by the United Nations. The construction industry, for long-term development, should follow this strategy. The construction industry is affected by a number of factors, such as energy, water, resources, maintenance, waste, and emissions, and each of these impacts has a clear role in determining its sustainability. In recent years, the discrepancy between the expected and actual performance of green buildings has become very common, raising significant concerns in the construction sector. The construction industry is under greater pressure to recognize the importance of closing the so-called “performance gap”, which designers and builders face in meeting client expectations, as a result of the enormous challenges posed by environmental issues, rising energy prices, health impacts, and environmental protection. The green construction industry still needs realistic models to measure, evaluate, and predict the performance of green projects that take into account the natural interrelationship between performance indicators. The forecasting feature will aid decision-making by providing project managers with a clearer picture of future project performance. 2:- Research scope: - Identify critical success criteria for green projects. Identify and model the complex interactions and specifications between GB project performance indicators and related variables. Develop a new performance evaluation model based on the ANP method. Create a new robust performance forecasting model based on the sustainable development approach. 3:- Research objective: - The primary objective of this study is to create an integrated model to analyse, forecast, and monitor the success of green construction projects in Egypt. Identifying the basic success factors for green construction projects and proposing a set of indicators that cover various aspects of performance Developing a model to monitor, evaluate, and predict the performance of green construction projects, taking into account the interrelationship between project performance measures Identify appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs) that promote sustainability. Evaluate the model’s performance and applicability using a realistic case study. 4:- Study‎ Steps: - Extensive research in the relevant literature on the factors influencing GB projects success, as well as the interdependence of performance indices and performance measurement approaches to performance evaluation and multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM). Using the Delphi Method to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for GBs based on previous literature to achieve consensus between survey participants. Modeling the mathematical criteria, functions, and equations. During this phase, the analytical models and framework architectures will be built. To calculate the priority weights for the performance indices, the ANP methodology was used. The ANP technique was implemented using Super Decisions® software. Developing the performance-forecasting model by using System Dynamics (SD) approach for forecasting the dynamic nature of green construction performance, including: Formulating quantitative and qualitative linkages, creating a casual loop diagram (CLD), creating a stock and flow diagram (SFD), changing diagrams, and running the model. The VENSIM software is used to simulate and predict model behavior over time. A green construction project case study is presented to demonstrate the model’s use in a real-world situation, as well as the model’s validation, limitations, and conclusions. 5:- Summary of Study: - The results indicate the importance of innovations in raising awareness of sustainable development and their interconnection with other performance indicators. Appropriate design in line with modern technology techniques, as well as effective planning of building trends, reduces energy and water use while increasing environmental awareness at the same time. Moreover, innovations and education are expanding and building institutions that train skilled people in sustainable construction technology, resulting in optimal economic performance, schedule, and increased productivity to satisfy stakeholders. Increasing energy efficiency and using renewable energy and environmentally friendly materials reduces emissions to a minimum, enhances the working and social environment, and increases convenience and productivity.
