Abstract In an attempt to assess physicians’ knowledge and experience concerning diagnosis and emergency treatment of angioedema, 248 physicians from different specialties were recruited for this study. The study was performed in the form of electronic based survey. The questionnaire in this survey was comprised of thirty-nine (39) questions developed to evaluate the knowledge and practice of a group of physicians concerning angioedema. Regarding practice of angioedema, less than two-thirds of the studied physicians (65.7%) had poor practice. The overall level of knowledge about angioedema among the studied physicians was found to be unsatisfactory with 88% of physicians having poor knowledge of the condition. |
