Abstract Pile foundations in tall buildings are subjected to torsional loads due to wind movement, earthquakes, and eccentric loads in addition to vertical loads. Neglecting torsion effects can result in catastrophic failures and compromise the structural integrity of the system. To ensure the integrity of pile-supported structures, it is required to investigate the behavior of piles subjected to combined loads (T→V) while accounting for the effect of the soil profile. |
