Abstract

Neonatal hypoxic-ischemic (HI) brain injury is one of the major causes of neurological disabilities in children. site of the study : neonatal intensive care unit at AL salam hospital and Al Nasr hospital in PortSaid city. The study result in Trans-cranial ultrasound and trans-cranial Doppler are available tools to assess the neonatal brain. They are safe and reliable techniques for demonstrating the most frequently occurring forms of cerebral injury in preterm newborns, assessing the evolution of the lesion and following brain development. Neonate with HIE should be scanned by early trans-cranial Doppler ultrasonography for prediction of clinical outcome
