Abstract Cancer can be defined as an inflammatory reaction resultin in destroying the genetic material of the cell causing loss of control on different biological processes. Cancer cells can also penetrate the circulation and metastasis to different parts of the body developing what is called secondary tumors. Cancer is also characterized by loss of control on cell cycle leading to formation of tumor bulk. These abnormal cells can cause organ failure and inability to perform its viable role and even death. There are different agents that can induce cancer developments which are called carcinogens. These carcinogens can interact with the genetic material forming adducts and reversible as well as irreversible damage and affect the functionality of the essential proteins. |
