Abstract
Globally, lung cancer caused the highest cancer-related mortality in 2020, with almost 2.2 million new cases and nearly 1.8 million deaths. In Egypt, lung cancer represents 5–7% of all cancer cases and ranks fifth in males and ninth among females. Depending on the size and appearance of cells, this cancer is classified as NSCLC and SCLC, where about 80-85% are NSCLC.
