Abstract

This study was conducted in the outpatient clinic, at Wardan Central
Hospital during the period between December 2020 and June 2021. The purpose of
this study was conducted to manage patients with impingement syndrome among
manual operated hand workers. The participants were employees and selected from
outpatient clinic, Wardan central hospital, Egyptian ministry of health. Thirty six
patients were randomly assigned into two equal groups: group A received TENS,
rotator cuff and scapular muscles strengthening, group B received core stability
training plus TENS and rotator cuff and scapular muscles strengthening.
For every patient, pain intensity level using VAS, shoulder range of motion
using universal goniometer, shoulder function using Quick DASH, and core
stability assessing using PBU, Sorensen Back-Extension Endurance Test, Prone
Plank Test, and Side Plank Test were measured before and after performing
exercise program. The mean, standard deviation, percentage of difference, and 2 ×
2 mixed design MANOVA were used to analyze data within the same group and to
compare data between groups. Statistical significance for all tests was set at less
