The research aimed to identify the impact of strategic planning on organizational development by applying it to petrochemical companies in Damietta Governorate. In order to achieve this goal, the researcher prepared a survey list, and (224) lists were distributed, and (198) questionnaires were collected, with a percentage of (88.4%). Correlation and regression methods were used according to SPSS. The research concluded that there is an impact of strategic planning on organizational development by applying it to petrochemical companies in Damietta Governorate. The research recommended the necessity of implementing strategic planning because of its impact on the organizational development of the institution. The research reached to: - There is a statistically significant correlation between the dimensions of strategic planning (environmental analysis, vision and mission, strategic objectives, executive plan) and the dimensions of organizational development (legislation and regulations, simplifying procedures, work methods, human resources development). -The research also found a statistically significant effect of the dimensions of strategic planning on organizational development
- The research also found that there are no statistically significant differences in employees’ perception of the research variables (strategic planning and organizational development) depending on the demographic variables of these employees (gender, age, educational level, and number of years of experience).
