Abstract
A literature survey on the complexes of thiosemicarbazide and its derivatives was made. With the exception of aggarwal work on 4-phenyl-1-benzoyl-3-thiosemicarbazide, no work has been made on these types of ligands. This stimulates the present investigation. The ligands used in this investigation are 4-phenyl-1,4-diphenyl-, 4-phenyl-1-isobutyryl- and 4-phenyl-1-benzoyl-3-thiosemicarbazides which were prepared from the reaction of phenyl isothiocyanate with hydrazine, phenylhydrazine , 2,4-dinittrophenylhydrazine , cyanoacyl-, isobutyryl- and benzoylhydrazines respectively.
