Abstract
It was already established that copper an tin compounds have toxic effect on snails and parasites. Thus, copper and tin compounds are widely used as molluscicides and pesticides. Conventional mollusciciding operations are based on the application of a toxic material to infested water course as solutions, emulsions, wettable powders or granules. In this work, the controlled released technique was applied to control Biomphalaria alexandrina snail which is the intermediate host of schistosomiasis.
