Abstract Lead-, Mercury- and Cadmium intoxications were conducted in groups of male rabbits, 5 animals each, by dissolving the metals acetates in the drinking distilled water (16.6x10-3M) over period of 6 weeks. A group of 5 male rabbits drinking distilled water used as control group. Weekly estimations of urine and faecal total porphyrins and estimations of blood total porphyrins, zinc and copper as well as blood lead, mercury and cadmium in their respective groups after the sixth week of intoxication were carried out. |
