Abstract
The material buckling B2m for D2O - moderated reactors was calculated using the NDA recipe. The calculated results for 7 and 19 uranium clusters with D2O coolant were compared with the experimental values for different hexagonal lattice pitches. It was found that the calculated values underestimate the material buckling in all cases considered. This difference was correlated to an overestimation of L2 in the calculated values of the diffusion length square L2.
