Abstract Recently, great attention has been given to the possible adverse effects from exposure to inhalational anaesthetics, particularly halothane. This work has been planned to study the effect which halothane may have on the immune system. Both experimental and clinical studiE The experimental study was performed on albinomice which were divided into two groups,pa group for acut exposure and a second group for chronic exposure a third control group for acute as well as for the chronic expos was also taken. group I (Acute exposure group ): Twenty mice were anae, thetized with halothane 1.5 percent for four hou: single time this group was divided into three sut groups: After 24 hours from exposure : one third (n=6) of the expo-e13 d group were sacrificed and materials for logical tests were taken. After 48 hours : the , c n-e o d third (6 mice) of the expo mice were also sacrificed and used for the immunologic t e s t s . After 72 ’hours.: The last third (n=6) were also sacrif ed and used for immunological tests. |
