The study is a trial to throw more light on the relation¬ship between primary atrophic rhinitis and the endocrine system. H. Review of the literature on the atrophic rhinitis, particularly the endoerinal factors in its pathogenesis, ^ during the last century, showed marked controversy. Many authors suggested variable endoerinal disorders as an aetio-logical factor, while others denied this postulation. ITT. Case material, diagnostic criteria and methodology were presented. Special reference was stressed on the asses¬sment of thyroid and parathyroid functions, as ¥/ell as deter¬mination of urinary ”excretion of both estrogens and 17-oxosteroids. |
