Ten healthy junior from the same hospital with an age range (24-35) year er e s e 1 e c ted a sac 0 n t r 0 1 g r 0 up. Ex e r cis e E C Gte s tan d ~hocardiography were done before and one hour after an verage dose of caffeine citrate (500 mg) for every patient nd individual in the control groups. At the same time, a enous blood sample was withdrawn to determine caffeine serum his study revealed that: In spite of a relatively high caffeine serum level that was found in the different groups, the studied hemodynamic, electrocardiographic and echocardiographic parameters did not change significantly after the caffeine boostering oral dose. In other words chronic coffee and or/tea users are tolerant to the cardiovascular effects of caffeine. 2.Tolerance is partial in the chronic coffee and/or tea users since there were still changes in the studied cardiovascular parameters although they were not of a statistically significant magnitude. That is to say, clinically caffeine tolerant individuals still have some alterations in their cardiovascular performance that necessitate further long-term prospective studies. |
