Abstract
In Fertility Care Unit ( F.C.U. ). Mansoura University Hospital, Egypt. This prospective study was conducted enrolling 36 clients classified to 3 groups : grouop I Laparoscopic Falope ring ( 12 clients ), group 2 InTs ML/LA ( 12 clients) and group 3 IPPTS LILA ( 12 clients ). Fortunately 31 clients (86,1 1 % ) were attendant to F.C.U. and igh Risk Pregnancy Unit ( H.R.U. ), only 5 clients ( 13,89% ) refered am other medical centers. 24 clients ( 66.67% ) from rural areas and 2 clients ( 33.33% ) from urban areas. The supra pubic tissues or infra-umblical tissues were iltrated with 1 % xylocain ( I 0-20cc) maximum dose 30cc. to avoid iocain toxicity using a 1,5 inch 25 gauge hypodermic needle ough a single puncture at the operation site. infiltration begins by sing a small skin weal. The” diamond - shaped” and ” fan-shaped” sthesia blocks are two alternative techniques. Our study reveled : •Rheumatic heart disease 9/36 ( 25%) was the commonest indication and diabetes mellitus of duration more than 20 years in grandmultipara 8/36 ( 22,220/0 ) was the second common indication. •Grandmultiparous clients with medical and/or obstetric indications constituted more than half of clients 21/36 ( 59% ). The mean operative duration in our study (35.83 + 14.90 utes in In’Ts group and 28.17 +7.71 minutes in IPPTs group) i pares favourably with that performed by Nyongesa ( 1990 ), who rted a mean of 30 minutes in one year study of ML/LA in a hing hospital at Kenyatta National. However, our figures not pare favourably with that reported by Ruminjo ( 1995 ), in his s of 1521 clients did ML/LA, and reported shorter duration The n of IPPTS was 12.5+2.13 minutes and the mean of the interval ip was 15.5+2.34 minutes. The authors did explaine this epancy between the two findings of oprative duration by :- i- More than two-thirds of our clients were obese> 80 Kgm ( 71.80/0 ).
