Abstract study included thirty four dogs. stratified into four I) Control group comprised of 24 dogs. ) Autograft group comprised of 10 dogs. ( III ) Allograft group comprised of 14 dogs six of bmitted for whole pancreas transplantation and the other were submited for heterotopic segmental pancreas ( IV ) Pancreatectomy group comprised of 10 dogs ~ the pancr’eatic grafts whether segmental or total were heterotopically fifteen of them were placed as the other nine grafts were transplanted The pancreatic ducts were ligated using 2/0 suture in ten dogs. and in eight dogs the pancreatic duct left freely open to drain in the peritoneal cavity where as last six dogs pancreatico-duodeno- cystostomy were done pancreatic secretions drained into the urinary bladder. studied groups were subjected to a battery of laboratory to assess the pancreatic graft function. These includes -, kidney function tests Fasting serum level serum amylase level ,Fasting plasma-C- peptide , fasting plasma insulin level, urinary Amyla~e and urihary in addition to serial determination of urinary e in all dogs. |
