Abstract Urinary obstruction is a major’ clinical problem responsible for thousands of hospital admission and surgical problems each year because it predispose to urinary infection, renal damage and renal failure. Radiology and imaging in particular plays a very essential role in the diagnosis of all cases and sometimes in management of some cases. The aim of this study was to evaluate the role of MR urography and US Duplex Doppler in particular, in assessment of ureteric obstruction. This study was done for 124 patients (246 renal units) with hydronephrosis as primarly diagnosed hy US. The following examinations were done: (1)History and clinical examinations. (2)Serum creatinine. (3)Plain X-ray of the urinary tract (UTP) for all patients to detect radio¬opaque stones. |
