Abstract Summary In this study aggression in the childhood period was evaluated. This was onducted by presenting the concept of aggression, then discussing its etiology ’om the social, biological and psychological perspective. The outcome of the henomena was explored by detecting the relation between aggression in hildhood period, and the development of Juvenile delinquency. Moreover, the ositive aspects of aggression regarding its relation to creativity were • ! This was followed by enlightening different management approaches to eal with this phenomena. Finally a broader view, ’as the biopsychosocial model, and the open ystem model was presented . This work tried to outline the nature of aggression, then differentiating etween aggression, and violence. The conditions which increase the likelihood f expression of aggression, various forms of aggression in childhood, and ormal patterns of development of aggression were evaluated. Regarding the social aspect of aggression, different parenting styles, and eir relation to aggression were presented. Moreover, the home atmosphere as a actor in increasing the frequency of aggression was proposed .Also the fluence of social norms on the manifestation of aggression was mentioned. The role of media (television, cinema, video games, music) in increasing incidence of aggression was suggested. This study explored the effect of child abuse, and its role in the evelopment of aggression in later period of life, whether this occur as a result If modeling, or organic changes which occur in the brain secondary to abuse, d result in aggressive behaviour. |
