Abstract I hip is a common complaint among the pediatric age group. this studY was carried out on one hundred child to study the in the diagnosis of non-traumatic causes of painful hip. These pups were 56 boys and 44 girls with their age ranged from I 56 years. 20 patients were bilateral giving the total number of 20 effected hips. All patients were subjected to thorough clinical examination, plain sand MRI. In some cases, other radiological and or laboratory westigations were carried out for confirming the suspected diagnosis. These 120 hips were classified into six groups according to the final pathology aiming to evaluate the proper way for management and judge the role of MRI.. Its value and limitation in some groups. These groups include : 1: Legg calve perthes’ disease (15 patients & 18 hips) p 2: Slipped capital femoral epiPhysis (8 patients & 1 0 hips) ;p3: Transient synovitis (30 patients, 35 hips) ip4: Hip infection (25 patients, 29 hips) pS: Juvenile Rheumatoid arthritis (4 patients, 7 hips) ~6: Tumo(and tumor like lesions (18 patients &21 hips). |
