Abstract
The present study aimed at evaluating the use of bonded arch irs in the management of mandibular fractures fixation.
In-vitro evaluation was done using models resembling human ntu1ous mandible.
The models were fixed by different fixation
and placed in a testing machine and subjeCted to an increasing force.
In the clinical evaluation, fifty two dentate patients with fferent types of mandibular fractures were selected from the utp’atient clinic of Oral Surgery Department, Faculty of Dentistry, lansoura University.
IndicatiOn for closed reduction using axiJ1omandibular fix4tion was the criteria for entry into the study.

Patients were classified according to the treatment modality used reduction and fixation were carried out by bonded arch bars and wired arch bars.
Light-cured and chemically-cured composite resins were used for bonding arch bars to teeth.
