Abstract The aim of this study was to assess whether intraperitoneal administration of ýanalgesia is practical or not, moreover the efficacy of perioperative ýadministration of NSAIDs namely tenoxicam whether intravenous or ýintraperitoneal was studied, depending on the fact that laparoscopic ýpostoperative pain is rather visceral in origin. In addition this research aimed at ýmeasuring the duration of postoperative analgesia, postoperative analgesic ýconsumption, and pain scores in VAS after intraperitoneal administration of ýtenoxicam.ý ý Intraperitoneal administration of Tenoxicam is more potent than intravenous ýadministration because it produced remarkable postoperative analgesia in ýlaparoscopic gynecological surgery, it improved the quality of postoperative ýanalgesia, reduced pain scores, prolonged the duration of postoperative ýanalgesia, reduced postoperative opioid consumption, and stabilized ýpostoperative stress in the form of reduced systolic, diastolic blood pressure and ýheart rate. |
