Abstract

Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) films and blends of polyvinyl acetate/ polyvinylidene fluoride (PVAc/PVDF) filled with two mixed transition metal chlorides (x)M(20x)CoCl2 were prepared by casting method , where M = CuCl2, FeCl3 and MnCl2 , where 0 x 20 weight percent. The prepared films were studied by differential thermal analysis (DTA), thermogravimetric analysis (TG), xray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), infrared (IR) and optical spectra, dc electrical resistivity, dc magnetic susceptibility and electron spin resonance (ESR).
