Abstract
In this study we have tried to evaluate the effect of adding adjuvant intraperitoneal 5Fu to the adjuvant radiation therapy and/or systemic chemotherapy for 32 colorectal cancer patients, and comparing their results with matching cases of colorectal cancer patients receiving only the adjuvant radiation therapy and/or systemic chemotherapy. The effect of adding the intraperitoneal 5Fu, was feasible, tolerable and resulted in a decrease in the incidence of both local recurrence and distant metastasis, which did not reach statistical significance. Also resulted in an improvement in both overall and diseasefree survival, which was statisticallysignificant with longer follow up periods of more than 23 years
