Abstract The aim of this work was studying the effects of depression on cognition and Each of them was studied firstly as a separate part discussing every memory. cases, details, then the relations and interactions among them was considered were diagnosed according to DSM IV to be mood disorder depressive type (unipolar depression and bipolar depression), dysthymic disorder and adjustment disorder with depressed mood. Both cognitive and memory were observed to be globally impaired in depressive disorders of high statistical value. Cognitive function was found to be significantly impaired with the presence of melancholic features , in depression with psychotic features and in Bipolar depression than the unipolar depression. |
