Abstract
Plant-growth promoting rhizobacteria are used as inoculants for bifertilization, phytosimulation and bicontrol. Substantial advances ing elucidating the genetic basis of the beneficial effects of PGPRS on plants have been made, some from whole genome sequencing projects. This progress will lead to a more efficent use of thes strains and possibly to their improvement by genetic modification as shown in this study.
