Abstract
The presented work provides an effective developed expert system program, to design power transmission shafts. Power transmission shafts may be considered as the most important componental most machinary. The main objective of the developed program is to accomplish a complete shaft design which confirms with the most important characteristics of design consideration, such as strength, stiffness, fluctuation<U+2026>.etc. The developed program proved to be an effective tool to design power transmitting shafts. The program increases the problem solving abilities with quick , efficient of standard solution free ups the human expert.
