Abstract
1. Chitosan film coating to Molloplast B soft liner appeared as a potent bioactive anti microbial growth material . 2. Aged soft liner acted as a source of infection to the supporting tissues , but not mechanically traumatize it to limit causes marginal alveolar bone loss with epithelial regression and periodontal pocket formation .
3. Merits of using resilient soft liner for increasing overdenture retention must be weighted against its adverse effect on abutment supporting tissue health.
