Abstract The present study comprised three patient groups, selected from the inpatient & outpatient clinic of rheumatology & immunology & general medicine units, Internal Medicine Department of Mansoura University Hospital Aim of the work The aim of our study is to evaluate the effectiveness of cupping therapy as an alternative and/or adjuvant therapy in treatment of certain chronic diseases {rheumatoid arthritis (RA), type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) and chronic hepatitis C viral infection} Results cupping therapy may be an adjuvant therapy in treatment of RA Cupping therapy can replace NSAIDs from any regimen for RA treatment without altering disease activity Cupping therapy plays an important role in controlling blood sugar, improving symptoms Cupping therapy is safe, simple and may be effective in treatment of RA, Type 2 DM as an adjuvant therapy Cupping is economical, practical and easy to distribute.Cupping therapy is not effective treatment for chronic HCV |
