Abstract Stereotactic Radiosurgery SRS describes a number of methods of stereotactically focusing small beams of radiation on intracranial target. Because SRS is a procedure in which high dose of radiation is delivered to a well delineated small volume of lesion in a single shot, SRS requires a high degree of quality assurance (QA). The present study deals with the QA of SRS system. In SRS technique, patients were treated with the screwon head frame, imaged with CT/ localizer using computed tomography (CT) machine, planned with BrainLAB planning system and received a single fraction of stereotactic radiation. QA is a procedure, which ensures consistency and satisfactory performance of a designed system in the specified way. In this work, the present study is divided to three parts. 1 Localizer measurements 2 Target Volume Measurements 3 Path Length Measurements. |
