Abstract Microstrip antennas have received great interest recently due to their numerous applications and advantages over conventional microwave antennas. However microstrip antennas suffer from relatively low gain and narrow bandwidth. In particular, circular disk microstrips were extensively studied dealt with the dominant resonant mode of operation which is characterized by narrow bandwidth. Annuler ring microstrip antennas are considered in this thesis. The radiation fields of an annular ring antennas are determined using the vector electric potentials method. |
