Abstract
The aim of this work is to study the level of fasting serum glycocholic acid in patients with bilharzzial hepatic fibrosis. The study was conducted on 35 subjects divided into acontrol group and patients. The control group comprised 9 healthy individuals, 7 males and 2 females with age ranged between 24 to 28 years, and 26 patients were divided into ascitic group wich comprised 15 patients, 10 males and 5 females with age ranged between 15-55 years, and non ascitic group wich comprized 11 patient, 8 males and 3 females with age ranged between 18-60 years.
