Abstract Ten completely edentulous patients were selected, each of then recieved two double-head blade-vent implants, one in each side, at the area of premolars and first molar. Hard tissue replacement grafting material (HTR) was packed in the channel of blade-vent implant to the level of the crestal bone in one implant and the other implant was left without HTR. All patients recieved acrylic overdentures over the blade-vent implants. The implants’ perioheads were modefied to be dome shaped and 3 mm length before their implantation. Patients were tested immediatly at the time of denture insertion, at six months, twelve months, and eighteen months. Comparisons were done between HTR and nonHTR sides according to the following paramttr 1- Crevicular pocket depth. 2- Immunoglobulin A (IgA) concentration in the crevicular fluids1 3- Mobility. 4- Bone height changes. 5- Bone density. |
