The grammatical rules are considered a main factor in the understanding process . As the response of what is heared , understanding of what is read , the clarity of both speech and what is written are based on this factor . So the grammatical rules are part and parcel of the main language skills ( listening, speaking , reading and writing).
The grammatical rules have a superior position among the Arabic language branches, as they are our regulation by which our speech and writings in all linguistic situations are controlled. In spite of the importance of the grammatical rules , there is a weakness in the students’ level in the different learning stages and specially in the primary stage .
The aim of the study
This study aims at determining the effect of a proposed program in the Arabic grammar in the light of the structural theory and is effectiveness in achieving the grammar subject for the higher primary stage students in Palestine and improving their attitudes towards the subject .
Statement of the problem
The problem of this study can be determined in the weakness of the students’ level in the higher primary stage in Arabic grammar and their turn away its learning .
This problem can be got over by answering the following question :
To what extent is teaching a proposed curriculum in the Arabic grammar in the light of the structural theory effective in achieving grammar concepts and improving the attitudes of the higher primary stage students in Palestine ?
This question can be divided into :
First : What are the standards that we should depend on in preparing a proposed program in the Arabic grammar in the light of the structural theory for the higher primary stage students in Palestine ?
Second : What are the characteristics of the proposed program in the Arabic in the light of the structural theory ?
Third : To what extent is teaching this proposed program effective in achieving grammatical concepts for the higher primary stage students in Palestine ?
The results of the study :
1. The effectiveness of the proposed program in Grammar in the light of the structural theory in developing grammar achievement of 9th grade basic education students .
2. The effectiveness of the proposed teaching method in the light of the structural theory in developing grammar a achievement of 9th grade basic education students .
3. The effectiveness of the proposed program in Grammar in the light of the structural theory in enhancing 9th grade basic education students’ attitudes .
4. 9 th grade basic education teaching method in the light of the structural theory in enhancing 9th grade basic education students’ attitudes .
5. Developing achievement led to enhancing attitudes .
