Abstract Glomerutopathies respressnt the commonest causes 1eading to chron ic renal failure, The outcome and response to treatment in glo¬merulopathies depend largely on the etiologic and histopathologic typing of this disease entity. The fitrst objective of this s work was to study the incidence of diffet’ent histopathol ogictypes of qlomerul opathi es in our community and theit’ clinicopathological relationship. Genes of human leucocytic Antigens (HLA) are located on the short arm of cht’omosome six , They wet’e found to contiot the immune response and to have relation with the susceptibility to cert.atn diseases. So The second objective of this work was to study if thet’e is a rel at tonshtp between HLA and glomet’ulonepht’itis in OUt’ cormnunity. In this work 168 patients with manifestations of gl onerul at’ disease wet’e investigated. These patients wet’e 117 males and 51 fema- 1es with age t’angi ng between 4 years and 50 years and mean age 17 years , Out of the 168 patients investigated 119 wet’e nresent tnq with nephro t tc syndrome, 33 with acute nepht, itis, 10 with simple hematur-t a , and 6 wer-e present tnq with acute rena l impait’ement. All the 168 patients afte~ being examined and investigated wet’e subj ected to needl e biopsy, whet’e two cores of kidney ti ssue wet’e obtained. The f trs t cor-e was fnrma l ine fixed and paraff tn sections wet’e stained by haematoxylin and eosin, pet’iodic acid schiff, Masson. |
