Abstract
Two plants were chosen for the present study viz, galium sinaicum boiss. and atraphaxis l. var. sinaica boiss. the first plant was the subject of an m.sc. at the department of pharmacognosy, faculty of pharmacy, university of mansoura (1991. in this study four anthraquinones werw isolated of which two new ones were reported.
