Abstract This work aims to synthesis some new heterocyclic compounds which can be used as dyes for dyeing synthetic fibers and study their fastness properties towards light, perspiration, sublimation, washing and rubbing, so we divided this work into two parts, the first part is a synthetic part (part 1) and the other one is an application part (part 2). Part 1: Synthetic part In this part we employed Thiosemicarbazide derivatives to synthesize some new polyfunctionally heterocyclic compounds such as thiobarbituric acid derivatives, thiazoles, diathiazoles, triazoles triazines and thiadiazines. The structures of the synthesized compounds was elucidated on the basis of elemental analysis and spectral data. Part 2: Application part This part describes the application of the synthesized compounds as new azo disperse dyes for dyeing synthetic fabrics such as polyester, polyacrylic, polyamide and acetate. For most dyes investigated, good fastness fastness properties to wards light, perspiration, sublimation, washing and rubbing. has occurred with polyester. |
