Abstract

The alimentary tract of three snakes of different habitats, Malpolon monspessulanus (cultivted areas), Coluber florulentus (semi - desert areas)and Tarbophis obtusus (desert areas)were anatomically, histologically, morphologically and histochemically investigated. The gut classified into the basic ophidian pattern.
