Abstract The current research is a study of the effect of Internet-based instruction or online education on the academic reading and writing skills of postgraduate students in faculties that use English as a medium for instruction and research writing ; e.g.; Faculty of Medicine. Statement of the problem Based on evidence from previous studies, the researcher’s experience and the results of the pilot study it was concluded that postgraduate students in faculties that use English as a medium of instruction and research writing have problems related to academic reading and writing skills. Questions of the study The main question of this study was: To what extent can an Internet-based program help postgraduate students in faculties that use English as a medium of instruction; e.g. Faculty of Medicine help students improve their reading and writing skills?
