Abstract Studies of Complementary and Alternative Medicine use in rheumatology populations did include significant proportions of persons with rheumatoid arthritis (23% to 70%). There are many studies of Complementary and Alternative Medicine used in management of rheumatoid arthritis. Bee Venom Therapy as one of them plays a great role in improvement of tender joint count, swollen joint count and morning stiffness. Herbal medicines tried in rheumatoid arthritis eg Linolenic acid derivatives and other herbal preparation & there are variable degree and failure were reported with there herbs in management of rheumatoid arthritis. However, Homeopathy in rheumatoid arthritis were not encouraging, the authors suggested that aromopathy can be useful in rheumatoid arthritis the effects of acupuncture appeared in reduction of pain and use of analgesic with rheumatoid arthritis patients. Cupping was used as enhancer for immunity and improvement of Qi. Although Reiki needs more serious trials and armful students, it was used in relief of stress and tension in rheumatoid arthritis. Hypnotherapy was suggested in pain management, Biomagenetcs need more studies in its use in rheumatoid arthritis. Other therapies include relaxation and spiritual therapy need more studies armful for its in rheumatoid arthritis management. In conclusion Complementary and Alternative Medicine in rheumatoid arthritis management is a promising altemative but need more studies for its evolution in rheumatoid arthritis management. Care should be taken during application of Complementary and Alternative Medicine in rheumatoid arthritis management especially among non professional users |
