Abstract
The study aim to Revaluation of commercial Schisto-Fast test for detection of
circulating schistosomal antigens in serum of simple bilharzia!
infected patients before and after treatment.A commercially available enzyme immunoassay for the
diagnosis of Schistosoma infection was evaluated for the diagnosis
of Schistosoma manson. This commercially Schisto-fast” test is
compared with antigen assay by indirect ELISAand antibody assays
by IHAT and ELISA.
A total of 82 serum samples were collected and used to
evaluate the test performance fifty samples ofthem were collected
from subjects’ attending Zagazig University Hospitals, outpatient
clinics of Tropical Medicine Department and from some endemic
areas in Sharkia Governorate and these persons were infected by
schstosoma mansoni.
