The objectives of the study were determined as follows: 1. Observing the actuality of the teacher preparation programs of the general education in the faculties of education in Egypt . 2. Recognizing the most important national and international accreditation standards of teacher preparation institutions and programs. 3. Recognizing the recent international trends in the field of giving a profession practice licensing for the graduates of the faculties of education to benefit from them in developing teacher preparation programs. 4.Determining the most important obstacles and problems which are expected when applying the system of the profession practice licensing. 5. Presenting a suggested framework for developing the teacher preparation programs of the general education in Egypt in the light of accreditation standards and requirements of profession practice licensing. the problem of the study can be determined in the following main question: How can the teacher preparation programs of the general education in Egypt be developed in the light of accreditation standards and requirements of profession practice licensing? This question can be divided into the following sub-questions: 1. What is the actuality of the teacher preparation programs of the general education in the faculties of education in Egypt ? 2. What are the most important national and international accreditation standards of teacher preparation institutions and programs? 3. What are the recent international trends in the field of giving a profession practice licensing for the graduates of the faculties of education? 4. What are the most important obstacles and problems which are expected when applying the system of the profession practice licensing? 5. What is the suggested framework for developing the teacher preparation programs of the general education in Egypt in the light of accreditation standards and requirements of profession practice licensing? The study followed the descriptive-analytical method which was appropriate for its nature. It made use of a questionnaire as an instrument for collecting data and recognizing the viewpoints of the study subjects. The most important results of this study are summarized at the following: The study has reached to putting A Suggested Framework for developing the teacher preparation programs of the general education in Egypt in the light of accreditation standards and requirements of profession practice licensing. This suggested framework included the following fields of development: 1. The standards of selecting the students who joined the teacher preparation programs. 2.The content of preparation program, in terms of : -Developing the objectives of preparation programs in the light of the professional accreditation of the teacher. -Developing curricula.. -Developing field training. 3. Following the graduates and giving them a profession practice licensing.
