Abstract
The anatomy and histology of the ovaries were stud - ied, the number of oocytes in each ovariole was determined and the developmental stages of the oocytes were described in normal, virus - and Bacillus - infected females. The res - ults revealed that : 1. The common suspensory ligament found in most Lepido-ptera is missing and the ovarioles are typically polytrophic.
