Abstract

Experiments were designed to investigate the influ - ence of sex hormones as radioprotectors against gamma radiation effects on some mammalian tissues. Albino rats from both sexes were treated with either oestradiol as a representative of natural female hormones or testosterone as a representative of natural male hor - mones, then the animals were subjected to total body gamma radiation dose equals to 800 rate of 100r/second.
