Abstract Two field experimente were conduoted at the Agrioult-ural EXperimental Statlon, faculty of Agrioulture, Mansoura University during the oonsecutive seasons of 1982/83 and 1983/84 to investigate the effeot of two plant1ng dates, three plant densities (10,15and 20 cms spacing between hills) , three cultivars (Trible Maribo- Marco-poly and Triave) as well as three nitrogen fertilization levels (45, 60 and 75 Kgsn/fad) on growth attributes, yield characters, quality and yield of bets and sugar yield, as well. A split –split plot design with four replication was adopted to investigation the factors in each planting date . Every experiment included 27 treatments comprising three plant densities, three cultivars and three nitrogen – levels. Slient results from theses investigation are summarized belows : A.Growth attributes : 1.Total dry weight / plant (gm) : Early planting (October 10) was associated with the highest total dry weight / plant . |
