Abstract Two field experiments were carried out at the Experimental station, Faculty of Agriculture, Mansoura university during 1996/1997 and 1997/1998 seasons to study the effect of N-fertilizer levels, phosphorus fertilizer rats as well as seed coat and bio fertilization treatments and their interactions on growth, yield, yield components and yield quality of fodder beet plants (Beta Vulgaris, var. Vorchenger). A split- split plot design with four replications was used . The main plots were randomly devoted to the following N-fertilizer rates : 1.0kg N/fed 2.40kg N/fed 3.80kg N/fed 4.120kg N/fed. The sub plots were assigned to the following phosphorus treatments i.e. 0, 15.5 and 31 kg P2Os/fed. Whereas, the sub-sub plots were occupied with the following seed coat and biological fertilizer treatments : 1. Control 2. coatengin as seed coat. 3. Rhizobacterin. 4.phosphorin. 5. Rhizobacterin + phosphorin. The experimental basic unit (sub-sub plot) was 10.5 m2” 1/400fed” (3.0*3.5 m) included five ridges each of 60 cm apart and 3.5m long. |
