Abstract

Rapid solidification technology is of interest because it produced new materials with improved their material properties. In spite of their importance, the effect of cooling rate has not been studied quantitatively, primarily. So this study describes the effect of cooling rate and ternary additions (Cd and Bi) on the structure and properties of lead-tin and tin-antimony based alloys rapidly solidified from melt using a single roller type melt spinning technique.
